A Miracle Happened at Saint Xavier Church – FOX13

The Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City is investigating a possible miracle that happened at the Saint Xavier church in Kearns, Utah.

During a recent holy communion ceremony, a host wafer was returned to the father overseeing the religious service.

The father placed the communion wafer in glass of water expecting it to dissolve within a few minutes.

After three days members of the church noticed the host was still floating in the glass and it appeared to be “bleeding”.

Word of the miracle spread to the community, and the faithful flocked to the church to witness it firsthand.

The Salt Lake City Diocese got wind of the incident and is investigating further.

They have appointed a special committee to confirm the possible miraculous incident.

The head of the committee, Monsignor M. Francis Mannion released this statement:

Reports of a bleeding host at St. Francis Xavier Church in Kearns have been circulating within the diocese. Monsignor Colin F. Bircumshaw, Diocesan Administrator, has appointed an ad hoc committee of individuals with various backgrounds to investigate the matter. The work of the committee is now underway. The results will be made public.

Whatever the outcome of the investigation, we can use this time to renew our faith and devotion in the greatest miracle — the Real Presence of Jesus Christ that takes place at every Mass.

The host is now in the custody of the Diocesan Administrator and there are no future plans to make the host available for public view.

However the Diocese said the results of the investigation will be made public when it is complete.
